Featured Football Camp - Lauren's First and Goal

Featured Camp

Due to the global COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, the 17th Annual LFG football camp originally scheduled for June 7, 2020 was canceled. However, the LFG Foundation announced "a terrific opportunity for coaches stay engaged and remain ready for football season, while helping us support our mission to fund pediatric brain tumor research and cancer services" through a partnership with Wade Floyd of The Coach Tube and Keith Grabowski of USA Football to raise funds for LFG through CoachesClinic.com and the Coaches Virtual Summit online. "Wade and Keith are generously donating 100% of the 59.99 registration fee to Lauren's First and Goal when you choose Lauren's First and Goal for a lifetime access registration" states a message on the home page of the First and Goal web site..

The Coaches Virtual Summit featured over 120 football coaches from across the country presenting video clinics on all aspects of football, football related topics and position specific play through an online coaching clinic. You can subscribe to replays of all content by clicking the donate link for Lauren's First and Goal - which provides access to the replays indefinitely through the Coachtube platform.

When we first wrote about Lauren's First and Goal Camp approximately 15 years ago, the camp was in its infancy. Held each summer Lauren’s First and Goal Football Camp has functioned as a one-day instructional clinic presented by Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania. Staffed by volunteer college coaches from across the country and all divisions, it became the largest one-day camp in the country, with over 325 college coaches donating their time and talents. Participants have receive instruction in a variety of offensive and defensive skills from volunteer college coaches from around the country.

Lauren's First and Goal is a 501(c)3 charitable organization, a labor of love started in 2004 by John and Marianne Loose in honor of their daughter, Lauren, a pediatric brain tumor survivor. The Loose family started the foundation as a way to help other families who are battling childhood cancer.

Since its inception, LFG has raised more than $2.1 million toward its mission to provide financial support for brain tumor research and cancer services, to offer financial and emotional support to families living with pediatric cancer, and to increase awareness of the disease. These goals are made possible through the funding gained through LFG Football Camp and charitable contributions.
